Hello Everyone,
As we are all aware the COVID-19 crisis is having a profound impact on our modern daily routines and adjustments are required during this heightened period. Recognizing that the crisis is evolving at a very fast pace with changes occurring daily, Pineridge Golf Course is attempting to stay current with new requirements being released by the BC Provincial Health Officer and Federal authorities. This Notice will inform members and guests of the steps being taken by Pineridge during this taxing time. Pineridge Ownership has agreed that the golf course will continue operations under conditions set forth by authorities or until otherwise told by authorities.
We are now to open for play!
Many innovations have been put in place to adhere to the current recommended social-distancing policies. The continued health and safety of staff and guests remains our priority as Golf Operations looks to remain in business.
What Pineridge is Doing:
- Golf carts will be allowed on a first come first serve basis
- The course will be open for play, with strict attention to adhering to social/physical distancing rules. During play everyone will be expected to maintain a distance of 6 feet from another person
- Rental clubs will not be given out at this time
- Doors will remain open during business hours so touching knobs and handles will be unnecessary. Use of bathroom for emergencies only
- Rakes have been removed. If your ball ends up in a bunker area that has not been groomed, you are encouraged to lift and place in a groomed area.
- Surfaces around the counter area in the pro shop are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Our staff has been trained on personal hygiene and social distancing. Please observe their personal space and refrain from entering the pro shop if it is unnecessary.
- We have decided to leave the pins in at this point in time to avoid contact. The Pins will be cut with a foam insert to avoid contact with the cup, gimme’s are encouraged for casual play.
- No hugging, high fives, handshakes until further notice… but Atta Girl or Atta Boys are encouraged.
- Our restaurant/clubhouse will be closed and will remain closed until further notice. This means the patio as well, please no gathering after the round.
- Men’s and Ladies nights will be postponed until further notice. If and when league play can continue, your ladies night tee time will be the same as last year.
- If possible, call ahead to reserve a tee time, however we will work to accommodate walk-up business. We ask that no more than 2 people enter the pro shop at a time. We are limited as to how many people we can help in a given moment. We also ask that for your own safety, be acutely aware of your own personal health. If you feel a bit under the weather, don’t play golf. If your immune system is compromised or if you are in a high risk category, you will be better off avoiding public places. Stay informed on all new information that is presented about COVID-19 and follow all provincial and federal guidelines and recommendations. Our goal is to make sure you as well as our staff remain healthy and safe during this challenging time.
This will require the CO-OPPERATION of everyone visiting the golf course. Those who choose not to follow the rules are not welcome.
Sincerely,
Pineridge Golf Course
